We got back from Michigan on Saturday, and I like to think that our various Clematis varieties had put on a show to welcome us home.
Across the driveway from the house, behind the Crabapple tree, there is a little sunny space that I intended to use for herbs and vegetables.
When we returned from DC we discovered that the Clematis ‘Jackmanii’ had entered into its peak bloom period.
The garden seems quieter now that the Tulips and Daffodils are gone. It’s starting to transition from spring to summer, and for some reason blue flowers become more prominent at this time.
